Momology:
The Art and Science of Mothering.

In 2010, MOPS invites you to join in the learning process as together we explore Momology: The Art and Science of Mothering.

Mothering is both art and science. It combines all of who we are to shape healthy, resilient kids. Mothering is so complex it requires both sides of our brain – not to mention our hands and feet, eyes and ears, mouth and (sniff, sniff) unfortunately, sometimes even our noses!

There's the scientific side of mothering where we develop a hypothesis based on certain principles, test that hypothesis in real-time, consider the results and decide what parts worked and what parts didn't. We keep refining our hypotheses until we find what works for us.

Intertwined with the scientific, mothering requires an artistry that shades with our personality, colors with our unique gifts, and blends past and current experiences.

What is MOPS?

MOPS stands for Mothers of Preschoolers. MOPS exists to meet the needs of every mom - urban, suburban, and rural moms, stay-at-home and working moms, teen, single, and married moms - moms with different lifestyles who all share a similar desire to be the very best moms they can be! MOPS recognizes that the years from infancy to kindergarten are foundational in a mother-child relationship and are filled with unique needs.

MOPS helps moms through relationships established in the context of local groups like this one that provide a caring atmosphere for today’s mother of young children. MOPS also encourages and supports mom through additional resources which can be found on The MOPS International web site (mops.org).

Our MOPS group meets Every Tuesday - All Year Round from 9:15 - 11:15 am.

To contact us, please fill out the form on the Contact Us page.

What is MOPETES?

Our MOPPETS program provides care for our children ages birth through Kindergarten. While mothers attend the MOPS meeting, the children enjoy a program designed to meet their needs. The children are divided into age groups and are involved in planned activities that provide social growth and spiritual enrichment. Games, stories, crafts, and play enhance their physical and creative development.

Benefits for MOPETES?

Social growth through group activies and play.

Spiritual growth through Bible stories and values relevant to their lives.

Physical, emotional, and creative development through crafts, games, snacks, and songs.

Children 0-2 are cared for in nursery classes.

Children 2-5 participate in storytelling, crafts, music, snack time, outdoor and indoor free play.

Please help us provide a wonderful experience for your children by adhering to the following guidelines:

Bring a change of clothes for your children (including socks and at least three diapers if your child is not potty trained).

Label all items, including bottles and cups, with child's name.
